Here is the preview for the upcoming Givenchy F/W ’10 campaign shot by Mert & Marcus. The colors blend beautifully and the casting for the campaign is really swell. Combining the the men and women lines together for one campaign is a cool and cost efficient way of doing business and I think a lot a houses might jump on board.

The only thought that comes to mind is fucking whoa! I love this campign and it is far superior to that of last fall’s depressing set of photos. Mert & Marcus shot the SS ’10 campaign and it feels fresh and new, yet it has a old school vibe to it. It also reminds me of those great photos from SS ’09, but I find these to be better.

I’m kind of late in posting about these collections, but I haven’t read about them anywhere else. These are my last words on anything SS 10, because it’s still SS 09 and this stuff won’t be in stores for a while. I talked about Bottega Veneta and Dries Van Noten, but I never got around to my other  fav collections. I saved the best for last, unintentionally I guess.

First have to talk about Louis Vuitton’s socks and those shoes! The colours first caught my eye along with the baseball jackets, but the shoes and the sock combos were really nice to look at. I’m sure the price will be high as a Giraffe’s ass, but that’s Louis Vuitton. The dark grey and blue colours for Spring with the contrasting yellow and sand make for a swell collection and I give it an A.

Givenchy is groovy and all, but is Jesus Luz wearing a Keffiyeh inspired look? I don’t do Keffiyehs or anything associated with Palestine/ Hezbollah. Other than those eyebrow raising looks, the black and white looks are cool along with the gladiators and star prints.

I saved the best of the best for last, that is Mr. Dolce & Gabbana. It’s all about the jackets! I love love jackets like I love the Fall ’09 jackets, they are simply supreme. Even though the collection has really dark tones it’s still cool, not everything has to be Spring Green i guess. A thought just passed, will Noah Mills’ contract will ever end with them because he opened the show, plus he’s in the Fall campaign, so I guess we’ll see him in the SS ’10 campaigns as well. This collection gets A+++!

The pic above should have been the poster for Mean Girls! I think these are the last of Givenchy SS 09 ads and I know for a fact they are my favourites. Even in blk/wht they go Bam! So yeah, the Givenchy campaign is the best this season.

Look at how different Lakshmi Menon looks in the Max Mara ad! I like both, because in the one above she looks like she can kick your ass and in this one she looks soft and dainty.

Who wears Givenchy SS 09 men’s legging? 

This gentelmen did and he gets an A as far as I’m concerned. Its doesn’t look silly, but Parisian Posh. Oh and he wore Maison Martin Margiela Hi-Tops too!

Sexy Stephanie Seymour is the front woman for Valentino, shot by Mert & Marcus. The problem with some photographers including me your work starts to look the same. The pics are pretty and, but they kind of resemble the LV FW 06 campaign.

I was a little shocked when I saw this ELie Tahari  ad shot by Terry Richardson. Now this looks nothing like his usual old school “porno chic” shots I’m accustomed to viewing. 

I want to see Terry Richardson shoot Lady Gaga ! Here she is in London doing the “no jacket chic/no pants/freezing my ass off” look.
